Welcome to the section of my website for English speakers. I currently don’t have a complete version in English of my website, but been brought up bilingual, I fluently speak English, therefore feel welcome to address me any question you may have using the contact → link below.
I am an Italian classical realist painter living in Black Forest, Germany. My work ranges from still-lifes to portraits, from landscapes to trompe-l’oeil. I work using different techniques and medias, mainly in oil, acrylic and egg-tempera. You can see samples of my work in the Werke section. To find out about my past and current exhibitions, as well as having a peek on what’s next, please visit the page Ausstellung →. My English CV → can be downloaded from the link below.
Since 2013 I teach painting under the label Malschule Elena Romanzin and offer workshops, classes and painting holidays in cooperation with several private and public institutions and organisations. All my classes are currently held in German, therefore a basic knowledge of the language is recommended. If you are interested in attending a class, check the programme in the section Malschule →.
Parallel to my teaching and painting activities, I co-organise and curate the Grand Salon →, a yearly exhibition held in the historical Villa Berberich in the town of Bad Säckingen, where International artists selected by a Jury exhibit their artworks in January and February each year. I am also a Jury member of the Lothar-Späth-Preis, the most important prize in Germany dedicated to artists with intellectual disabilities.
In the news → section you find the latest information about what’s new about works, exhibitions, painting holidays, classes or else. You can access a tool for translating the text into English. You can follow me on Facebook → as well.
